A Family Story

The story of Fratelli Giacomini Calzature is one of those classic tales of north-eastern Italian entrepreneurship: built on courage, hard work and vision. It all began in 1964, when the father Gino, returning from Turin, decided to take a chance and sell footwear at open-air markets.

With determination and entrepreneurial spirit, the business grew quickly and, already in the early ’70s, the first shops arrived in Bibione, followed over the years by new openings in Lignano, Pordenone and Fossalta di Portogruaro.

Between the late ’80s and the early ’90s, the sons Simone, Paolo and Andrea also joined the business, having grown up among markets, warehouses and shops. That’s where they learned the trade.
In 2001 Fratelli Giacomini SPA was born, a single entrepreneurial project, developed across markets and various shops.

In 2005 another strategic turning point arrived with the acquisition of the Caorle shops, followed over the years by new openings in Lignano and Bibione. After 2012 the company decided to focus entirely on developing the retail network, expanding its presence in the main tourist resorts such as Grado, Jesolo, Garda and Lazise.

Today the company has 3 warehouses, over 50 employees; over time the points of sale have also become a reference point for international tourism in coastal holiday resorts, with a loyal clientele coming mainly from abroad, especially from Germany and Austria.
